Online applications

We offer applicants the opportunity to apply online on our website. To be accepted in the application process, applicants must provide us with all the personal data required for a well-founded and in-formed assessment and selection, via the form.

The information required includes general personal information (name, address, telephone or elec-tronic contact details) and performance-specific evidence of the qualifications required for a position. It is possible that health-related information may also be required, if it must be given special consid-eration under labor and social law in the interest of the applicant's social protection.

We use the Onlyfy service, which belongs to New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg, Germany, for application management. Jobbase.io is the central platform for our applicant management. When you use our online form, your personal data is recorded directly in jobbase.io. In the case of a postal or email application, your data may also be transferred to the e-recruiting system.

In the context of these tasks, Onlyfy processes personal data only on behalf of and for the pur-poses of EDELRID GmbH & Co. KG and is therefore a so-called processing-to-order processor within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 8 GDPR. We have concluded an order processing contract with New Work SE, which obliges New Work SE to protect our customers’ data and not to pass them on to third par-ties.

More information about data processing according to Art. 13 GDPR can be found on the application platform.

When you submit the form, your data is transmitted to us in encrypted form in accordance with the state of the art and processed exclusively for the purpose of processing your application.

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 Para. 1 FDPA, in the sense of which going through the application process is considered to be the initiation of an employment contract. Insofar as applicants are requested to provide special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 (1) GDPR (e.g., health data such as information about severely dis-abled status) as part of the application process, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 9 (2) (b) GDPR so that we can exercise the rights and fulfill our obligations arising from labor law and social security and social protection law.

Building on this or alternatively, the processing of the special categories of data may also be based on Art. 9 (1) (h) GDPR if it is carried out for the purposes of preventative health care or occupational medicine, for assessing the applicant's ability to work, for medical diagnostics, care or treatment in the health or social sector or for the management of systems and services in the health or social sec-tor.

If, in the course of the evaluation described above, the applicant is not selected, or if an applicant withdraws their application prematurely, the data they provided will be deleted after four months at the latest, following appropriate notification. This period is based on our legitimate interest in being able to answer any follow-up questions about the application and, if necessary, to meet our obliga-tions to provide evidence under the regulations on equal treatment of applicants.

You may also consent to us retaining your application documents in an applicant pool for longer than the defined retention period of four months after completion of the application process, against the possibility that you may be considered for another position in our company.

In the event of a successful application, the data provided will be further processed for the purposes of conducting the employment relationship on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 Para. 1 FDPA.

Use of the Cloudflare performance and security solution

We use a so-called content delivery network ("CDN") from the technology service provider Cloudflare Inc, 101 Townsend St. San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare") on our website. A content deliv-ery network is an online service that is used, in particular, to deliver large media files (such as graphics, page content or scripts) through a network of regionally distributed servers connected via the internet. The use of Cloudflare's content delivery network helps us to optimize our website’s load-ing speeds.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Cloudflare (Data Processing Addendum, which can be accessed at https://www.cloudflare.com/media/pdf/cloudflare-customer-dpa.pdf), which obliges Cloudflare to protect our site visitors’ data and not to pass them on to third parties. For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Cloudflare relies on the European Commission’s so-called standard data protection clause which is intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection in the USA.

Friendly Captcha

We have integrated the "Friendly Captcha" service of Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany, on our website in order to make it more difficult for automated programs and scripts (so-called "bots") to use our website.

For this purpose, a program code from Friendly Captcha has been integrated in order to pose a calculation task to the respective end device of the visitor. Depending on the result of the calculation, the respective request (e.g. contact form) is further processed or rejected. The data is used exclusively for the protection against spam and bots. Furthermore, Friendly Captcha does not set or read any cookies on the visitor's device. Collected IP addresses are only stored in hashed (one-way encrypted) form and do not allow us and Friendly Captcha to draw any conclusions about an individual person.

The processing of this data is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest to protect our website from abusive access by bots, hence spam protection and attacks (e.g. mass requests). If personal data is stored, this data is deleted within 30 days.

Further information on data protection when using Friendly Captcha can be found at https://friendlycaptcha.com/legal/privacy-end-users/.

Use of Google Analytics

Insofar as you have given your consent, Google Analytics, a Google LLC web analysis service, is used on this website. The responsible service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses cookies which enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information about your use of this website, which is collected by the cookies, is normally transmitted to a server belonging to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use the user ID function. With the help of user ID, we can attribute one or more sittings (and the activities within the sitting) to a unique, permanent ID and analyze user behavior across devices.

We use the function “anonymizeIP” (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, Google shortens your IP address within the European Union member states or in oth-er states which are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a server in the USA belonging to Google and shortened there. Google will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser, as part of Google Analytics, with any other data.

Data will be collected during your visit to the website, including the following:

  • The pages you accessed, your “click path”
  • The achievement of “website goals” (conversions, e.g., newsletter registrations, downloads, purchases)
  • Your usage behavior (for example, clicks, length of stay, bounce rates)
  • Your approximate location (Region)
  • Your IP address (in shortened form)
  • Technical information about your browser and the end device you used (e.g., language set-ting, screen resolution)
  • Your internet provider
  • The referrer URL (the website/advertising material over which you arrived at this website)

Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website, to evaluate your use of this website and to produce reports on website activities. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used for the purpose of analyzing our website’s performance and the success of our marketing cam-paigns.

The recipient of the data is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland as contract processor. We have concluded a contract processing agreement with Google.

Google LLC domiciled in California USA, and if necessary, US American authorities, can access data stored by Google. A transfer of data within the USA cannot be ruled out.

The legal basis for this data processing is your consent, Art.6 para.1 S.1 lit. a GDPR. You can with-draw your consent at any time with future effect. To withdraw your consent, deactivate this service in the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website.

Note on data processing in the USA by Google: If you click on "Accept all cookies", you consent to your data being processed in the USA within the meaning of Article 49 (1) para 1 a) GDPR. Under the current legal situation, the USA is considered to be a country with an inadequate level of data protec-tion. There is a risk that your data will be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring pur-poses. There are currently no legal remedies against this practice. You can revoke your given consent at any time for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

The data sent by us and linked to cookies will be automatically deleted after 14 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached occurs automatically once a month. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie in relation to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by

a. not giving your consent to the setting of the cookie or

b. downloading and installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics HERE [https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en].

You can also prevent cookies from being stored by configuring your browser software accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to refuse all cookies, you may experience limitations in func-tionality on this and other websites.

More detailed information on Google Analytics’ conditions of use and on data protection by Google, can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

Use of Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which can be used to analyze the use of websites.

So-called "cookies" are used as standard when using Google Analytics 4. Cookies are text files that are stored on your terminal device and make it possible to analyze your use of a website. The infor-mation collected by cookies about your use of the website (including the IP address transmitted by your terminal device, shortened to the last digits, see below) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored and processed there. This may also result in the transmission of information to the servers of Google LLC, a company based in the USA, where the information is further processed.

The IP address transmitted by your terminal device when you use the website is routinely and auto-matically collected and processed in an anonymized form when Google Analytics 4 is used, so that a direct personal attribution of the collected information is excluded. This automatic anonymization is carried out in that Google shortens the IP address transmitted by your terminal device to the last digits within member states of the European Union (EU) or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).

Google uses this and other information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports (reports) on your website activities or your usage behavior and to provide us with further services related to your website usage and internet usage. In this context, the IP address transmitted by your terminal device and shortened by Google Analytics 4, will not be merged with other data by Google. The data collected in the context of using Google Analytics 4 will be retained for 2 months and then deleted.

A special function of Google Analytics 4 also allows the creation of so-called "demographic character-istics" which are statistics giving information about the age, gender and interests of website users based on an evaluation of interest-based advertising and including information provided by third par-ties. This makes it possible to determine and distinguish groups of website users for the purpose of optimizing target group marketing measures. However, data collected via the "demographic charac-teristics" cannot be attributed to a specific person and thus also not to you personally. The data col-lected via the "demographic characteristics" function is retained for two months and then deleted.

The processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for the storage and reading of information about the terminal device you used to visit the website, will only take place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. If you do not consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your use of the website. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service by using the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

Note on data processing in the USA by Google: If you click on "Accept all cookies", you also agree that your data may be processed in the USA within the meaning of Article 49 (1) para 1 a) GDPR. According to the current legal situation, the USA is considered a country with an inadequate level of data protection. There is a risk that your data will be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes. Currently, there are no legal remedies to prevent this practice. You can revoke the consent your gave at any time for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

The "UserIDs" function is also used as an extension of Google Analytics 4 in connection with this web-site. By assigning individual User IDs, we can have Google create cross-device reports (so-called "cross-device tracking"). This means that if you have given your consent to the use of Google Analyt-ics 4 in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, have set up a personal account by registering on this website and are logged into your personal account on different end devices with your relevant login data, your usage behavior can also be analyzed across devices. The data collected in this way shows, among other things, the end device you used to click on an advertisement for the first time and the end device on which the relevant conversion took place.

We have concluded a so-called processing-to-order agreement with Google for our use of Google Analytics 4, by which Google is obliged to protect our website users’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

To ensure compliance with the European level of data protection, even in the event of any transfer of data from the EU or EEA to the USA and possible further processing there, Google refers to the Euro-pean Commission’s so-called standard contractual clauses, which we have contractually agreed with Google.

Further legal information about Google Analytics 4, including a copy of the aforementioned standard contractual clauses, can be found at the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Details of the processing generated by Google Analytics 4 and Google's handling of data from web-sites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Microsoft Clarity uses cookies, which enable an analysis of the use of our website, as well as a so-called tracking code, which is executed when this service is called up. The processing is based on your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

Google Ads Remarketing

Our website uses the Google Ads Remarketing function. With it, we advertise this website in Google search results as well as on third party websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

Google sets a cookie in your end device’s browser for this purpose which enables interest-based ad-vertising through a pseudonym cookie ID and on the basis of websites you have visited.

The processing is based on your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website or alternatively follow the option described above to make an objection.

Note on data processing in the USA by Google: If you click on "Accept all cookies", you also consent to your data being processed in the USA within the meaning of Article 49 (1) para 1 a) GDPR. Accord-ing to the current legal situation, the USA is considered to be a country with an inadequate level of data protection. You can re-voke your given consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

Any further data processing will only take place if you have given your consent to Google linking your internet and app browser history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize advertisements that you view on the web. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, your personal data will be tem-porarily linked to Google Analytics data by Google to form target groups.

Details of the processing initiated by Google Ads Remarketing and how Google handles data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking

We use the "Google Ads" online advertising program on this website and, as part of Google Ads, the conversion tracking from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). We use the Google Ads offering to attract attention to offerings on external web-sites with the help of advertising material (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine how suc-cessful the individual marketing measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. With this, we follow our cause by showing you advertising which is of interest to you, designing our website to make it more interesting for you, and being able to calculate the advertising costs involved.

The conversion tracking chip is set when a user clicks on one of the advertisements shown by Google. Cookies are small text files which are placed on your end device. These cookies generally become invalid after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits particular pages of this website and the cookies have not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user has clicked on the advertisement and been redirected to this website. Every Google Ads customer re-ceives a different cookie.

Therefore, cookies cannot be traced across Google Ads customers’ websites. The information ob-tained with the help of the conversion cookies serves to produce conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisement and been redirected to a site with a conversion track-ing tag. However, they do not receive any information which would allow users to be identified per-sonally.

We only use Google Ads when you have consented to it in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the ‘cookie consent tool’ provided on the website or alternatively, use the option out-lined above to execute a revocation.

If you do not want to take part in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google conver-sion tracking cookie in your internet browse under the menu point “user settings”. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Integration of services and contents from OUTTRA

a) Display of availability of goods

We use the component OUTTRA from 81MEDIA GmbH, Ziegelbrennerstr. 5, 73074 Stuttgart for the "Buy locally" function for retrieving the availability of goods. To display this function, the component must query the visitor's IP address. Initially, the component only uses the IP address to send the browser or the visitor appropriate information. The IP address is therefore necessary for the presentation of this function.

The visitor's IP address is anonymized on OUTTRA's server in order to display the availability of the product selected by the visitor via the "Buy local" function. A database query is performed based on the anonymized IP address, which allows a rough localization of the visitor based on the non-anonymized part of the IP address. As a result, the visitor is shown the local dealers on the website.

The legal basis for the above processing of personal data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate in-terest is in the sale and promotion of products and services and the related functionality of the web-site. If the retrieval of the availability of goods serves to initiate a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

In principle, you can object to the future processing of data relating to you based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, at any time in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. The objection can be made against the pro-cessing for purposes of direct advertising in particular.

No personal data is stored by the component or by 81 MEDIA GmbH after the visitor has ended the browser session.

b) Google-Maps

The "Google Maps" component of Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google", is used to display the location of the stationary dealers who have the product searched for. When displaying the dealer locations through the "Google Maps" component, Google sets cookies in order to process user settings and data when displaying the map and the asso-ciated functions.

The processing is based on your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, de-activate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

There is a risk that your data will be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes. There is currently no legal remedy available against this practice. You can re-voke your given consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of the use of Google Maps, you also have the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by turning off the JavaScript application in your browser. If you do so, Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website, cannot be used.

You can view Google's terms of use at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html, the additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html.

Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website ("Google Privacy Policy"): https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

c) Appointment booking

We use the OUTTRA component from 81MEDIA GmbH, Ziegelbren-nerstr. 5, 73074 Stuttgart for the appointment booking function. To implement this function, OUTTRA stores the first name, last name, email, and phone number, encrypted, in the database and sends this data to the dealer from whom an appointment booking was requested.

The legal basis for the above processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in the sale and promotion of products and services and the related functionality of the web-site. In principle, you can object to the future processing of data relating to you on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, at any time in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. The objection can be made against the processing for purposes of direct marketing in particular.
