Authorities

The term “authorities” refers to institutional units that fulfill various roles and functions in the public sector. These institutions play an essential role in maintaining public order, security and the administration of a country. They can be divided into three categories: Authorities, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Forces. While public authorities primarily have administrative and regulatory tasks, the armed forces specialize in defence and military security. Law enforcement agencies focus on maintaining internal security and combating crime.
