“Good Water Tower”

We are absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news from our talented athletes! Recently, we got in touch with the amazing Greg Troutman to get the inside scoop on his awe-inspiring new climbing route in Utah's Good Water Canyon. This route is unclimbed since its first ascent, and we're wondering if you might be the one to take on the challenge next? Here's what Greg had to say:

"A scenic approach across a much less travelled region of the central Utah desert will bring you to the rim of an offshoot of The Good Water Canyon. A handful of rappels later delivers you to the base of High Tolerance. A Five pitch 5.12/+ that is the first and only route up Good Water Tower. All pitches are great in their own right, however, the crux pitch is a wildly classic tower pitch. It starts a bit sporty and finishes with steep tips to fingers after a no hands kneebar, however the business is right in the middle; wild sequential stemming above micro-cams in bomber “Wingajo” Sandstone, a bit of an oxymoron. This route is a special one for sure, as I scouted, equipped, and cleaned all pitches. The initial free attempt ended with a one hang on the crux pitch. I later returned with Curtis Allred and was able to free the crux, as well as all other pitches for an all-free team ascent of the Tower."
