HMS BULLET PERMALOCK

If you search for a carabiner that promises more safety than a classic screw carabiner, you will quickly come up with very complex systems that are difficult to use, especially with one hand. The HMS BULLET PERMALOCK now fills exactly this gap—providing the safety of a locking carabiner according to category 3 of the German Alpine Club (DAV) provisions, combined with the user-friendliness of a normal screw carabiner.

This is made possible by the smart PermaLock locking mechanism. When screwed tight, the sleeve of the carabiner is blocked due to the integrated pressure lock, and is thus secured against unintentional opening. To open the carabiner, the pressure lock must be pressed before twisting the screw sleeve to unlock it. The carabiner can then be opened like a normal screw carabiner. Unlike conventional twist-lock or triple-lock carabiners, however, this model does not automatically snap shut, but can be used with the screw cap open if the carabiner is to be frequently clipped/unclipped, or stashed on the harness, e.g. a snap gate carabiner.
