In 2026, EDELRID is expanding its Work Safety collection with new product developments tailored to various professional fields. Whether for industrial climbing, rescue operations, or tree care, the specialist from the Allgäu region offers innovative solutions that provide added value for nearly all vertical applications. The highlights of the new collection include updates to the proven FLEX series with the FLEX LITE, FLEX PRO, and FLEX PRO PLUS. These enhancements are designed to increase efficiency and safety when working with personal protective equipment against fall (PPE against fall). With the introduction of the new PROTECTOR MAX and PROTECTOR ARAMID, the PROTECTOR range is now complete, taking rope protection to a new level. Further developments in the hardware segment round out the new collection. Safety, quality, lightness, and ease of use are the focus of every product. EDELRID’s development and innovation work is based on 160 years of experience in climbing and alpine sports, as well as its in-house rope and cord production in Isny im Allgäu.
Update: The FLEX-Series

For work in fall risk areas where freedom of movement is required: The FLEX LITE is the lightest fall arrest harness in our FLEX series. In addition to its low weight, it is also characterized by simple adjustability and a precise fit. Depending on requirements, the metal dorsal D-ring can be ‘locked’ in a fixed position by the VCR fastener or allowed to slide up and down to enable even greater freedom of movement. Plastic protectors on the back shield the fabric and make it easier to glide along structures, for example in narrow shafts.
The FLEX PRO is a comfortable fall arrest harness with extensive features for complex work at heights and in fall risk areas. The waist belt is anatomically pre-shaped and comes with four gear loops to provide plenty of options for holding lanyards and tools. Here too, the updated version features the dorsal metal D-ring. In addition to being integrated at the back, the protectors can also be found at the hips.
The FLEX PRO PLUS is the ideal solution for demanding work where fall protection is required. This fall arrest harness has a wide range of features and is particularly comfortable, even during lengthy jobs.
In addition to the features of the FLEX PRO, the FLEX PRO PLUS is equipped with an integrated, movable climbing protection eyelet.
Updates and New: The PROTECTOR-Series
Now complete
The PROTECTOR, the flexible rope protection for subsequent fitting, thanks to Velcro fastener, is already known as an EDELRID product. The updated version of the PROTECTOR features an integrated rope clip, particularly easy to attach and remove plus reliably remains in position without having to be additionally secured with a Prusik sling.
The PROTECTOR MAX rope protection mat offers nothing less than an optimally protected rope in all conceivable situations. The mat can be adjusted to the area of use, rope run-through, and gear to always offer ideal protection for the rope and the structure. The basic design is simple yet ingenious: a flexible fabric mat made from a robust blend of polyester and polyamide with an internal layer of foam combined with five interchangeable aluminum ribs (separately available as PROTECTOR MAX SHIELD). The aluminum ribs have a reinforced geometry so as to remain stable and not deform even when subjected to high loads. They can be easily positioned on the mat in their holder using the VCR fastener. Both the mat and the SHIELD element can be used separately depending on the specific scenario. For example, the rope protection mat can also be wrapped around the rope like a tube (both lengthwise and crosswise). It is also possible to combine several mats or attach two SHIELD elements to a mat in a modular manner, for example to protect the rope when running over a wall with a double 90-degree change in direction. Multiple loops enable the mat to be secured to structures as well as gear to be attached in order to facilitate directional changes or optimally centralize the rope run-through. As the aluminum ribs reduce friction, even systems with running ropes can be implemented without issue. The back of the rope protection mat is reinforced with three Hypalon strips, which also prevent it from slipping on the structure.
With the PROTECTOR ARAMID, the PROTECTOR-range is expanded by a tubular rope protection with integrated shear and heat protection. The exceptionally tough aramid material offers effective shear protection and reduces the impact of heat on the rope.
New: The CRAWLER 2R
Spacious yet compact
The CRAWLER 2R is a compact collapsible cube that can be folded down to a small size and fixed using the loops on the sides. All it takes is a simple twist and the free-standing cube is instantly ready for use. Equipped with a loop featuring a metal ring for tying on the end of the line, an inner pocket for throw bags, and a practical handle, the cube can hold approx. 80 m of throw line and two throw bags. The gaps in the base at the corners enable dirt and moisture to seep away without issue.
New: MAXIOM RIG SLIDER and MAXIOM RIG TRIPLE
Innovation thought differently
Ideal for creating efficient block and tackle systems or directional anchors in the fields of work safety and technical rescue: The MAXIOM RIG SLIDER combines a large carabiner with a ball-bearing-mounted pulley. The outstanding efficacy of 94% ensures minimal friction and reliable function, even under load. The high working load limit (WLL) of 400 kg makes the carabiner a robust workhorse. Thanks to its oval design, the MAXIOM RIG SLIDER offers plenty of room for ropes and devices, which can be clipped on particularly easily thanks to the large gate opening with a keylock nose. The compact, automatic slider closure makes handling particularly simple yet also safe.
The MAXIOM RIG TRIPLE differs from the SLIDER solely by its closure mechanism: the tried-and-tested triple-lock closure is easy to use and offers added safety.
