  • Description

    The FUSE is a guided type fall arrester for work-at-height applications. It meets the key requirements of relevant European and North American standards for a user weight of up to 140 kg. The attachment point on the lever arm supports smooth movement of the device along the safety rope during both ascent and descent. A key design feature of the device is the patent-pending separation of the locking mechanism and the speed-dependent activator. The cam operates without teeth, which can help reduce the mechanical load on the rope. In addition, the locking action can be released without completely unloading the system. The locking function allows the clamp to be engaged when required. The device can be attached to and removed from the rope without being disconnected from the carabiner. In combination with the DEFUSER RESCUE energy absorbers (Standard or L), the maximum arrest force is up to 30% below the value required by the relevant standards. Different absorber lengths and performance characteristics allow the system to be adapted to a range of applications, including rescue operations and horizontal use.
