EDELRID is expanding its Work Safety collection with its 2025 product developments. Whether for industrial climbing, rescue operations, or tree care, the Allgäu-based specialist for work safety and climbing offers additional benefits for almost all vertical applications with its innovative solutions. The highlight of the new collection is the TECTUM (AIR) helmet, the missing puzzle piece in the range. An updated version of a popular tree climbing harness, a new route setter bag, and several evolved hardware products round off the new collection. Safety, quality, ease of use, and a light weight are at the heart of the designs of each and every product, ensuring enjoyable and efficient use. EDELRID’s development and innovation work is based on 160 years of experience in climbing and alpine sports, as well as in rope and line production thanks to its own facilities in Isny, Germany. With the new hybrid training offered by the EDELRID Academy, the company has created a further innovative service for the field of personal fall protection equipment.

TECTUM & TECTUM AIR:

Genuine multi-talents

The TECTUM and TECTUM AIR are the missing puzzle pieces in EDELRID’s Professional range. The main difference between the work safety helmets is that the TECTUM AIR features closable air vents. Both helmets have been designed to enable users to work safely, whether on the ground or at height, and can be adapted to any working situation through a wide range of accessories. They offer an impressively modern design and outstanding versatility.

The TECTUM is characterized by the sealed helmet shell, which provides reliable impact protection and electrical insulation in accordance with EN 50365 class 1 and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 type I class E.

As a multi-talented product, the TECTUM AIR complies with EN 12492, EN 397 (with closed air vents) and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 type I class C.
On both versions, the impact-resistant helmet shell is made from lightweight yet robust ABS plastic, while the inner shell is made from shock-absorbing EPS material.

The integrated Euroslots, headlamp clips, and additional attachment points make it easy to attach accessories and optimally tailor the helmets to different job requirements. Thanks to the adjustable chin strap and stowable Wing Fit system with a dial on the back of the head, the TECTUM and TECTUM AIR can be optimally adjusted for a secure yet comfortable fit.

Accessories

The wide range of accessories includes various visors (HELMET VISOR CLEAR: protects against water, dirt, and small, flying parts; HELMET VISOR SUN: a tinted visor for protecting the eyes against dirt and sunlight; HELMET VISOR FULL FACE: a full-face visor for cleaning work etc.; HELMET VISOR MESH: a ventilated visor that protects the entire face, primarily used for tree care) and a HELMET VISOR PROTECTOR. The HELMET EAR MUFFS reliably protect the hearing and feature wide, plastic-foam-filled sealing cushions for outstanding comfort, even when worn for long periods. Consideration has even been given to sun protection: the HELMET FRONT BRIM protects against solar radiation and features a semi-transparent design so as not to impair the field of vision. The HELMET FULL BRIM features a circumferential brim that not only acts as a sun hat but also offers protection against the rain. The HELMET NECK PROTECTOR has a large surface area to reliably protect the neck against UV rays (SPF +50), dirt, and rain.

UPDATE: TREEREX II

Enhanced versatility

The versatile TREEREX tree climbing harness has been updated. The TREEREX II is characterized by the wide range of rope bridge configurations and an optional SRT bridge for outstanding safety and comfort when working on single ropes. The combination of the innovative 3D Vent technology and the wide, semi-rigid padding provides unsurpassed hanging comfort coupled with good breathability. Numerous attachment options for gear carabiners and a device for suspending a chainsaw round off the overall package. The large, angled D-rings offer enhanced freedom of movement and reduce the risk of getting in the way of other lateral eyelets.

SETTER BELT

Keeps everything to hand when route setting or working at height

The multifunctional gear belt makes everyday work easier, and not just for route setters. With a pocket for screws, an integrated holster for a cordless screwdriver, magnets for bits and screws, plus various gear loops, users have everything they need to hand when setting new routes. The SETTER BELT can be freely positioned on a waist strap. The front pocket can be easily removed thanks to the VCR fastening and combined with the SETTER BAG or replaced with a suitable SETTER BOX.

New members: The Cupid family is expanded

The CUPID SWIVEL MINI is characterized by its ball-bearing-mounted swivel for connecting rope elements, slings, and metal components. This makes it ideal for rope bridges, directly tying in haul bags, and creating connections for uses where the shortest possible system length is required. The centering geometrics ensure that loads on the connector are ideally positioned at all times.

The CUPID SWIVEL MIX offers the best of two worlds: a closed eyelet on one end and an open eyelet on the other, connected together as a ball-bearing-mounted swivel. The anti-twist protector integrated in the closed eyelet secures a clipped carabiner in place to provide an optimum connection without cross loading. The mechanical screw locking system integrated into the openable side enables this to be opened and closed as often as desired without having to replace the screw.

The two connectors join the already available CUPID SWIVEL to expand the family.

News from the EDELRID ACADEMY:

Training on the use of personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) pursuant to DGUV rules 112-198 and 112-199 (rescue) is now available as hybrid initial training.

The advantage: only one day of attendance instead of the usual two days!

In the first module (theory part), course participants can learn about the basic legal principles, risk assessment, and choosing personal fall protection equipment at any time and place they choose. During this part, course participants progress with their learning at their own pace. In the second module (on-site practical part), a trainer instructs the course participants on how to use the personal fall protection equipment.

The first practical session is scheduled for 03/25/2025. Further sessions will follow and can be viewed at edelrid-academy.de.
