The aim of the training is to familiarise participants with the relevant occupational safety laws, ordinances, regulations and recognised rules of technology in the field of personal fall protection equipment to such an extent that they are able to assess the proper condition of the equipment, taking into account its intended use.
Background knowledge as well as practical skills for the competent inspection, maintenance and assessment of PPE against falls from a height and PPE that is usually combined with it, such as helmets.

The training meets the requirements of DGUV Principle 312-906. Participants must pass a theoretical and a practical examination. Upon successful participation, they receive a certificate as competent persons according to DGUV Principle 312-906 and thus also fulfil the requirements for a competent person according to EN 365:2004 at European level.
The validity of the certificate is not limited in time but must be maintained. Edelrid recommends that this qualification is refreshed after 3 years by participating in a short PPE expert seminar in order to stay up to date with standards, regulations and products.
