A pulley with a defective rivet was discovered. On one pulley, the axle holding the roller and the two side plates together was not fully riveted. A side plate could therefore come loose and unintentionally release the rope.
The affected pulley is sold under the trade name "Turn".
It cannot be ruled out that other pulleys of this batch with faulty riveting may be in circulation.
In the interest of customer safety, EDELRID has decided to issue this recall for safety check/user inspection. Owners of pulleys called "Turn", with the corresponding batch number XXXX 18-150 are requested to check whether the rivet head on the side plate has a minimum diameter of 8.7 mm.

An affected pulley must be immediately withdrawn from use and sent to EDELRID for a free replacement.

The precautionary call for safety check/user inspection covers the "Turn" pulley with batch number XXXX 18-150. Please note that XXXX stands for an individual sequential number and is irrelevant for this inspection.
First, check whether you have a product of the batch in question. The batch number is located on the front of the pulley.
