If you search for a carabiner that promises more safety than a classic screw carabiner, you will quickly come up with very complex systems that are difficult to use, especially with one hand. The HMS BULLET PERMALOCK now fills exactly this gap—providing the safety of a locking carabiner according to category 3 of the German Alpine Club (DAV) provisions, combined with the user-friendliness of a normal screw carabiner.
-
- Keylock closure mechanism for optimum handling when clipping and unclipping
- H-profile construction ensures best possible use of material and minimal weight
- Locking carabiner, according to category 3 of the German Alpine Club (DAV) provisions on locking carabiners
- Red indicator on the gate shows whether the carabiner is completely closed
- Improved safety combined with the customary ease of use of a regular screw gate carabiner

Improved safety with the same user-friendliness
This is made possible by the smart PermaLock locking mechanism. When screwed tight, the sleeve of the carabiner is blocked due to the integrated pressure lock, and is thus secured against unintentional opening. To open the carabiner, the pressure lock must be pressed before twisting the screw sleeve to unlock it. The carabiner can then be opened like a normal screw carabiner. Unlike conventional twist-lock or triple-lock carabiners, however, this model does not automatically snap shut, but can be used with the screw cap open if the carabiner is to be frequently clipped/unclipped, or stashed on the harness, e.g. a snap gate carabiner.
PermaLock Technology
Innovative screw gate carabiner with an additional locking mechanism on the locking sleeve. This is made possible by the smart PermaLock locking mechanism. Due to the integrated pressure lock, the rotating locking sleeve of the carabiner gate can be blocked and is thus secured against unintentional opening. Thus the PermaLock combines the safety of a locking carabiner, according to category 3 of the German Alpine Club (DAV) provisions, with the user-friendliness of a normal screw/snap carabiner.
