The G-SCREAMER PRO is an ultra-light HMPE sling with an integrated, compact shock absorber—developed for use with questionable protection and rope clamps such as the SPOC. In the event of a fall, the shock absorber reduces the load on the anchor point to less than 4 kN by extending to a maximum length of 100 cm in a controlled manner, thereby absorbing a large part of the energy. In combination with rope clamps according to EN 567, the G-SCREAMER PRO meets the dynamic requirements of EN 15151-1 for manually assisted braking devices. It can therefore be used for belaying with rope clamps and significantly reduces the risk of rope damage in the event of a follower fall. At less than 50 g, the G-SCREAMER PRO weighs little more than a standard quickdraw sling but offers a valuable safety reserve.
