    • Climbing

      When and how did you get into climbing and what kept you interested / fascinated in the sport?

      We are a passionated climbing family and have spent most of our vacations in climbing spots all over Europe. I started competing at the age of 13. For me competitions are very exciting because I made a lot of new friends and have the great possibility to travel to new countries.

      Who was your childhood hero and do you consider yourself a role model now? Does it influence you at all that other people look up to you?

      Hero, my big sister Lara, of course. ☺
      I wouldn't describe myself as a role model, but I would like to motivate and inspire young girls.

      What were the most important milestones in your life so far, both in climbing and in everyday life? Did you immediately recognize them as such or only later on?

      At my very first European Youth Cup Lead in Bologna in 2025, I reached the final.
      Grenzgänger (Kraftwerk/Weißhaus), a classic route bolted by a friend of us 35 years ago. I was able to send it after just a few attempts.

      What were your greatest failures / setbacks / injuries? How did you cope with them and how did you come back from them?

      Luckily, I had no injuries and big setbacks yet. Let's keep our fingers crossed. ☺

      What is your favorite climbing-related story / experience?

      My first multi-pitch experience in Des Kaisers neue Kleider (Stefan Glowacz).

    • Training

      Do you have a strict training schedule for when and how you train throughout the year?

      Yes, I train about five times a week, switching between my training group in Kempten and the Bavarian Team in Augsburg. Apart from that, I also try to go cycling, skiing or hiking from time to time. And for me, having fun in sports and climbing is very important.

      What advice can you give to somebody looking to improve their training routine?

      Just go climbing and have fun!

      What do you think of indoor climbing gyms in relation to climbing on actual rock?

      Nowadays, climbing gyms are perfect for training where you can focus on structured training, making them the ideal preparation for climbing on rock.

      Are you able to do a one-arm pull-up? How about a single finger?

      Not yet, I think it’s not necessary for climbing.

      How much of the success as a pro climber is due to show and how much due to actual climbing skill?

      Hopefully 100% due to climbing skills. ☺

    • Psychology

      Is it possible for anybody to eventually perform a one-armed pull-up or get to the top of the Eiger/Matterhorn, or do you really have to be born for it?

      With the right motivation you can reach a lot. But talent is a good base for success.

      How important is it to set goals in professional sports? What are your goals / targets you are working towards in climbing and in life?

      Goals are important to stay motivated, stay tuned. ☺

      How to you deal with extremely hard climbing problems? Do you ever get frustrated and give up on them or do they motivate you even more?

      Luckily, I had no long-time projects yet! Perhaps my projects are too easy. ☺ To be honest some boulders can be very frustrating!

    • Future of climbing

      Is there anything you would like to change about the current developments in climbing?

      It is great, that climbing is getting more and more focus, especially through the Olympics.

      Where do you think sport will go in the next few years? What will change? And what role will you play in it?

      I think, indoor and outdoor climbing will become even more separated in the future. In bouldering, there is still a lot of change in style.
