EDELRID

Sustainability

We accept responsibility

We love our sport, as well as the mountains, rivers and forests that feature so regularly in our lives. Edelrid develops equipment we can all rely on to feel safe when out and about. We’re conscious of our products’ ecological footprint and their impact on man and nature.

This realisation and our responsibility as a company underpin everything we do. Our goal is to research, understand and disclose every last detail about our products’ manufacture, use and impact.

And we’re just as interested in equipment safety as we are in ecological and societal aspects.

We harness and share this expertise to develop high-quality, innovative, and durable products and to help save our planet. What’s more, to boost safety and environmental awareness, we want to help you spot any risks and understand your own impact on the natural world.

Climb Green

We use the dynamic Climb Green Label, which we developed in-house, to identify products that currently set the highest standard in terms of responsibility on the market in their respective product group.

The organisational anchoring of environmental management at EDELRID is ensured by the position of the Environmental Management Officer as well as by various working groups on specific environmentally relevant topics, e.g. materials, production processes, sourcing, implementation of ecological measures in the administration or occupational health and safety. These report directly to the Executive Board on a regular basis.

In order to be measurable and transparent in the area of the environment and environmental impacts, and to give ourselves the incentive to constantly improve, we have been publishing our environmental statements since 2010. With the environmental statement, we disclose, on the one hand, what is important for assessing our environmental performance and, on the other hand, with which means and measures we would like to achieve our environmental goals and have already achieved them.
