A via ferrata is the perfect way to venture into the rugged and fascinating world of the vertical. The route to the summit leads over rocky passages, steep walls or wobbly suspension bridges spanning deep gorges. Your life hangs on a wire rope and your via ferrata set, which is why these wire-rope secured routes are also known as via ferrata.

In May 2024, the mountain sports magazine ALPIN put 9 via ferrata sets from different manufacturers under the microscope. In addition to the theoretical test, the test focused on the practical test, in which tying in, handling of the carabiners, the functioning of a swivel joint and much more were tested. We are particularly pleased that our CABLE KIT ULTRALITE VII was awarded the "ALPIN Gewichts-Tipp" (an award for the lightest product in the test). At just 299 g, it is currently the lightest via ferrata set on the market. Due to its low weight, the set is particularly suitable for long tours with long ascents or for mountain guides and fans of ultra-light equipment.

All product highlights at a glance:

  • Rest loop situated directly at braking device
  • Elasticated webbing keeps carabiners close to hand
  • Energy absorber conforms to EN 958: 2017: low impact force for all weight classes
  • Thin, light, elasticated arms made of HMPE
  • Currently the lightest via ferrata set on the market
  • Ultralight carabiners for optimum handling with minimum weight
  • Fulfills the current standard EN 958:2017 even with 180° misuse
