Description

The 8001 series is hydrophobic and therefore has hardly any weight gain in wet conditions and dries very quickly. The MAGIX PRO DRY thus offers additional safety reserves even in the most extreme conditions and underlines the performanceof the paragliders. In addition to water repellency, the innovative coating also enables us to achieve increased stiffness, greater abrasion resistance and thus a longer service life. New colors make it easier to sort and differentiate the lines when preparing for take-off on a wide variety of surfaces.

THERMO SHIELD describes a thermal treatment process that evenly and permanently anticipates the shrinkage of the yarns used. The process perfectly aligns the core and sheath yarns to achieve outstanding dimensional stability and thus guarantee the well-known suppleness.

Spliceact CS

The product attribute SPLICEACT guarantees that a line offers outstanding splicing properties thanks to the balanced ratio of yarns used in conjunction with the design parameters.

Stretchact CS

STRETCHACT indicates lines that have been stretched to make them stronger and reduce their elongation. The natural properties of the fibers are also anticipated so as to guarantee products with permanent length stability.

Pro Dry CS

PRO DRY is a high-quality coating for lines. It provides outstanding hydrophobic and oleophobic protection, enabling the lines to permanently repel water, oily substances, and dirt. It also optimizes their handling and service life.

Unsheated aramid line with Technora® fibers

Untreated aramid lines can hold up to 60% of their own weight in water. As a result, they are getting heavy and an unfamiliar handling, which affects the glider's flight characteristics and can even freeze in cold conditions.

Pro Dry is our well-established finishing process which aims directly against these issues.

Our know-how from manufacturing climbing ropes, with their innovative coatings, could be used and adapted for the MAGIX PRO DRY series, resulting in a further improvement of our tried and tested aramid series.

The 8001 Magix Pro Dry series was developed based on the diameters and strength versions of the 8000 Magix Pro. Therefore, manufacturers and customers can build on their experience and technical data gained in the past and continue already started projects.
